Are you a Bhaktihead?

It started with a love of music. The Grateful Dead created a community of peace-loving friends, joyful jams and wild dancing that drew us in as "hippies" in the '90s and early '00s. Then an early algorithm said, “hey, we think you'd like the Hanuman Chalisa.” What is this? became I always feel so happy when I listen to it. Fast forward 20 years, and more likely than not, you'll find us at the Krishna Das show chanting all 40 verses.

We became spiritual seekers and found that Neem Karoli Baba and his lineage were a safe home for our hearts. The Dead were early supporters of Ram Dass and the Seva Foundation, which makes sense when you see the same sense of community, love and care running through. It seems auspicious that the Venn diagram existed before we even knew to look for it.

Chanting became our lifeline. The calm in the storms of life. The practice that keeps the heart open. We read devotee memoirs for pleasure and sacred texts before sleep. We keep a photo of Baba in our homes because we know that when we think of him, he is with us. Our hearts and bodies vibrate with the repetition of the name. We are Bhaktis.

And yet we live in a material world. We got older, took corporate jobs, started families. We hold it down professionally while our hearts quietly yearn for mysticism and real Bhakti community. That duality is part of our practice too.

So we started going to more kirtan retreats. We began making and gifting Bhakti-themed stickers and magnets to new friends at shows, small tokens that sparked real connection. We shared photos and recordings of live performances, the way Deadheads once traded tapes. We started showing up at the same events, staying in touch between them. A community took shape without us planning it.

Then it clicked. There are Deadheads, Parrot Heads, Phish Heads and we're Bhaktiheads.

We've put a name to it and we're putting form and structure around those organic roots. We're taking a leap of faith and opening the doors to our first 25 founding members. Receive a monthly blessing in your mailbox and a community for your Hanuman heart. Will you join us?

Not ready for Bhakti-filled snail mail? Check out our merch drops - including T-shirts, Tote Bags, Stickers and more. These are created directly by our founder as acts of devotion. It gives us full hearts to be able to share this with you.

Every month an envelope arrives in your mailbox. Inside, a few carefully chosen things. A sticker for your water bottle, something small for your altar, a token to wear or carry or pass along to a friend. Each piece made or curated for this community, chosen with care as small, beautiful reminders that you belong here.

Membership also brings you home to a community of fellow Bhaktiheads. A warm, private space to share photos from shows, swap recordings, ask for prayers, and gather for group chants. The kind of community that already exists in pockets at every kirtan retreat, now with a place to live year round.
